Printed Linen Tailored Trouser

The trousers are regular fit with tapered leg, made from 100% Irish linen. They close at the front with a YKK metal zip and a hook and bar, and have belt loops at the waist. There are two front pockets and two welted back pockets, each fastened with a button. The trousers are unlined, with the internal waistband, fly and crotch seam finished in bias binding.

The print was designed by Renée Bedell, inspired by vintage textiles handmade by the Miao people of China, whose patterns record the migration stories of their ancestors. Dense dark navy linear patterns run in vertical bands down each leg, broken by paler stripes of dusty pink and cream. The print is a discharge screen print, which strips the dye from the linen rather than laying pigment on top.

Printed in a small print studio in London. The trousers are part of a set and can be worn with the matching jacket, sold separately.
